10.03.2004 At least 3 JOOLA players were guaranteed to take home medals from the Team World Championships in Doha.

Guo Yue became World Champion with the Chinese team, and it even fell to her to make the decisive 3rd point in the finals in the 3:0 success against Hongkong. After the World Championships silver medal in doubles this was her first World Champion title. While her team colleques took everything in their stride Guo couldn't part with the WC trophy and she even carried the huge pot several hundreds of meters to the team hotel.

Two JOOLA players made a great contribution to the success of the DTTB choice to become vice world champion. Ex-champion Jörg Roßkopf laid the foundation for reaching the finals with his victories over the no. 4 on the world ranking list Chuan from Taiwan and over no. 15 Oh from Korea. And Zoltan Fejer-Konnerth made the decisive step to be an undisputed regular player in the German national team.
